Our Vision
IHRE is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit organization established to serve and promote humanity in Iceland and globally. We aspire to contribute to social cohesion, promote coexistence and diversity, and enhance the safety of communities for all gender identities, ages, and ethnic or other origins.

Promoting Human Rights through Education
Our work addresses the challenges faced by marginalized groups through evidence-based research, data collection, and direct engagement to create communities free from violence and discrimination.
Social Cohesion & Diversity
We aim to strengthen the social integration of refugees and migrants, enabling them to use and exchange their knowledge and skills as active community members for the overall progress of society.
